Hi, I'm Donna!

I am completely smitten that you want to hear my story. I have been in the retail and fashion world since 2005 (it's hard to believe it's been that long). That was when I made the easy decision to leave my career in social services to stay home and raise my beautiful new baby girl. Of course I loved being home with her every day, but I desired more challenge and creativity.

My love for fashion began when I partnered with my aunt designing and sewing the cutest little girl ruffle skirts. I started selling them out of my home, at vendor shows, home shows and any event we could get into.

Long story short, my first brick and mortar opened in little Watertown, SD, then one in St Michael, MN, until the journey came full circle when we returned to our hometown in South Dakota and launched Raise the Bar ... affectionately described as a hidden little gem of a boutique, coffee and wine bar ... and we are extremely excited to launch online!

The absolute best part of what I do is helping women get out of their box and try something new. Putting outfits and looks together is my hidden talent and I would absolutely love to help you look good so you feel good.
